About WISE
A women-led CIC, rooted in Woking, branching across the UK.
WISE — Women in Social Enterprises — is a Community Interest Company supporting women to lead the transition to a more sustainable and equitable economy.
Our story
WISE was founded in Woking by a group of women who had spent years inside community organisations, councils and start-ups — and watched the same talented women hit the same invisible walls.
We started with a single mentoring circle in a borrowed room above a café. Today we run multi-month programmes, partner with councils, universities and corporates, and incubate women-led ventures tackling climate, care, food, fashion and digital inclusion.
Our work is grounded in Surrey but our learning is shared openly with sister organisations across the UK and the Commonwealth.
